about 4 hours north of mexico-city lies the pituresque town of 'san miguel de allende'. san miguel is known for its beautiful town center and its unique atmosphere. for a long time, san miguel has been a place of encounter for national and international artists. many of them still live here right now. the town has several famous artschools.
also, of corse, san miguel has been the town of birth of independence heroe allende. since then, well, since some time after the independence, the towns name is san miguel de allende.
